Our Beliefs

The Bible is God’s Word: Written under the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit, it is infallible, completely true, and contains all we need in order to live our lives walking with God (1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Matthew 7:24, Psalm 119:105).

The Holy Trinity: God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three distinct persons in one true essence (John 1:1, John 10:30, Matthew 28:19).

God the Creator: He created the heavens and the earth, along with all of creation, including the first man and woman: Adam and Eve (Genesis 1:1, Genesis 2:7, Hebrews 3:4, Romans 11:36).

Jesus Christ the Son: He is the one and only begotten son of God, who came to this world, fully God, yet also fully man, to live a perfect life, to die a sinner's death, and to resurrect on the third day to save his followers from the condemnation of sin. He is the Lord and Savior (Matthew 17:5, Mark 5:7, Romans 1:4).

Salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ: It is a free gift for all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (Acts 4:12, Romans 10:10, Acts 16:31).

Total depravity of man: Every person is a sinner from the very beginning of their life and they will never be good enough to save themselves (Romans 3:23, 1 Kings 8:46, 1 John 1:8).

Unconditional election: God alone chooses who will be saved out of His free grace and love, without any foresight of faith or good works (Ephesians 1:3-6).

Limited atonement: Jesus' perfect sacrifice was to save all those that were chosen to be saved and none of it was for naught (1 Peter 3:18, John 3:16, Romans 5:9-10).

Irresistible grace: God's grace has such a strong draw on each person that there is no way that they can continue to turn away from God. If God's plan for a person is to be saved, then it will certainly be so (Ephesians 2:8-9, John 6:63-65, Romans 9:14-23).

Perseverance of the Saints: Once a person has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and receives salvation, it cannot be lost. They can neither totally nor finally fall away and will undoubtedly persevere to the end and be eternally saved (John 6:37-39, 2 Timothy 2:11-13, John 10:26-30, 1 John 2:19).

We can have a relationship with God: While other religions offer rewards and good results, Jesus offers each of his followers a personal, intimate relationship with him (Revelation 3:20, John 14:6).

The gathering of believers (church): God calls His believers into churches to spur and build each other up. They are to become one body under the headship that is Christ (Hebrews 10:24-25, Romans 12:4-5, Acts 2:46-47).

The Great Commission: Jesus calls each of his followers to share the Gospel, to bring the lost the saving knowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15).

The return of Jesus: He will surely return to judge the living and the dead, calling those who believe in him back home to Heaven, while condemning those who rejected him to the eternal flames of Hell (Mark 16:16, Hebrews 9:28, Revelation 22:12).
